Thanks for creating all this great custom content!

But I'm really missing all my mates in Simcity:
simple small trades businesses, the ones who build and maintain your houses and commercial centers!

Small trades like
plumbers,
electricians,
painters/decorators,
the famous cable guy,
telecommunications connectors,
lawn maintenance + gardening,
...you name it!

Since many, not all, of these tend to work either from home, or keep a small shop front, the easiest would probably be small Commercial (low-mid wealth) shop lots (1x1, 1x2) from where these guys operate (so job numbers should be something like 2-4 for shop PLUS 4-8 for the trade).

Some custom probs might be nice, too: utes (pick-up trucks) and vans with a roof-rack and ladders on top, signage on the sides, etc.

Oh, I think I get what you mean... there's an Electrician on my street who has a business like you said. I don't know about a shop-front type thing, but what if I did a shed with the ute and stuff, and put it on a lot? I'll do up a quick concept now and repost here. I'm not a perfect BATter, so it might take a while to do right.
