Now I wonder if everyone has ever seen this happening at the region level? It happened shortly after I imported a map to a new, blank region, and had gone through the quadrants to plant some trees. The effect was animated and went over the regio twice.

I have moved this thread from Where can I find this ....?¿ to PLAYing the Game Help, since I saw it fit better there. (CasperVg - 11/29/08 CET)

Yeah, SC4 may display smog (looks like yellow-tinted air above the polluted areas), but you must have really heavy pollution for this effect to appear, eg 3-4 power plants put together.

Do you mean fog?

No, this is at regional satellite view, and because this landscape is pristine - there's not a single city on it. It had just been imported via SC4 Terraformer, then treated via SC4 to get the right (Cycledogg's Meadows) texture and to add trees and smoth out some rough edges. Then the first wave of these clouds appeared, en masse. I then started a city to see if the clouds would appear: they did not. When I went back out - without saving - the second wave appeared. Have not seen it since. Just found it noteworthy and odd.
