Park ploppables, ofc.  Smaller golf courses would be nice to see, and disc golf courses in some custom parks would be excellent, and pretty easy to do I would think. :)

Hello Mbolism ... I am surprised no one has thought of that before now. What does a disc course look like?

Just googleing Disc Golf will show you all you need to know. :)  I'm sure there is a course near you as well.  A new one seems to pop up every day. :)

Here is the wiki on it:

I'm sure there are plenty of guys out there who would love plopping disc golf courses in their city. :)

Ah, cool golf courses!  Thanks!

As for the disc golf:

Sure!  Well, maybe I'm the only one, still, adding it to a park shouldn't be too difficult.  Maybe I should learn how to do my own modding/bating eh? :)

I also had a look at some disc course images. There are two things that stand out. First is the disc catcher. the metal post with chains and a ring to collect the Frisbee. Similar to the hole on a putting green. And secondly is the lack of hazards such as sand traps. And other stuff like a club house or pro shop.

Seems to me that creating a disc course would be mostly lotting. The use of Cycledogs textures would be an absolute must so as to create the 'fairways'. Seems to me that the only thing holding you up is for someone to bat a catcher thing-y.

As far as modding? I don't see what you would have to mod. Simply take the SimCity golf course, gut it, lay out your disc course using cycledog textures, put in some overlay textures for paths, plant some trees, put a few park benches along the route (disc-ing is a tiresome sport) place your disc catchers .. and .. presto ... a park themed as a disc course.

It's easier than what you may think. . .

Heck, a couple of 1x1 lots with the catcher on it and some random props and you could allow users to make their own park with it.
