sometimes you want to dig a hole, sometimes you want to dig a big hole and yes, sometimes you want to dig a 24m deep hole. normaly when i'm in my backyard this not realy a problem, some blisters yes a big hole in my garden (but i wanted that to be there, the hole, not the blisters!!) but not realy a problem. But in my new created region i do have a problem with digging very big holes.. there where i can shovel a way the sand with my rusty shovel in my backyard, i can't in my newly created region!? I think i found the problem, i think it's the water level! my region is one big floating island. normaly i take my bucket, some sandbacks and problem solved! But this time i have to lower the water level i think, because lowering the terain will only result in a strange floating landmass and drowning sims, is there somebody who can teach me this fine art?

Now for all the people who don't know what i mean this is my problem just a tiny film of land just above sealevel how can i lower the sealever or get some land under my.. land? please!?

dragonshardz

make the land higher using mountain/hill tools, then dig a hole. sealevel in SC4TF can't be changed

wouanagaine

you can however edit your terran mod examplar and change the sealevel in reader, so this way you won't have floating buldings

MTG!
You live in the Netherlands and you say you can dig holes a 24 meters deep? Do you live on the Pietersberg? Because on all other places you will drown in the Grondwater! So be careful, really!

And the rest of your question is not clear to me. Can you not level up all your land? In Terraformer there is an option "make flat" where you can exactly set the heigth of the flattening by putting the "lowest level" and the "highest level" slider to the same number (actually lowest level is one point lower). This way I make my regions completely flat. Afterwards I level down for canals and seaports, or up if I feel like doing that.

As you can seen in the pic, i have too little  land, it's just a film of dirt floating on water. is there a way to get it a bit thicker

dragonshardz

there are tools within sc4TF that allow you to raise the land, just use those (they're called "mountain" or "hill).

FrankU

What I see on your picture is a very thin film of land colour floating over or lying on the water.....
I have never seen something like that before.

Maybe the easiest way is to make a new blank region with SC4 itself, then edit the config file to your wishes and then start the Terraformer to edit the surface the way you want? Somehow I feel the picture show someting that is not correct. Maybe you stumbled upon some kind of bug?
