Turning off reply notifications for specific threads

A while ago, I posted in a thread that has a lot of traffic.  I got an answer to my post, and I'm really not interested in following that thread anymore.  How do I stop it from showing up whenever I click on "Show new replies to your posts"?

Simply press the "Notify" button at the head of the thread again, and you will disable the notification for that thread, if it was set to notify 

You can also manage your modifications from your profile screen. Check the options list to the left.

It turns out that wasn't what I was looking for after all.  I'm talking about the "Show new replies to your posts" link that appears near the top of every page.  It shows every thread I've ever replied to.  Is there some way to prune this list?  My profile says I'm not receiving any notifications.
