Installing Deadwoods, Marcszar's and other BATs

Hello,
I hope I am in the right forum here.  Apologies if I am not. 
I have been searching the forums for a few days and I cannot find the answer I am looking for so I gave this message a shot.

Does anyone know why the intallation double click won't install the files I have mentioned above.  I can download them ok but they won't install.  Nothing happens.  I have been away from the game for a couple of years so I don't know if my problem is to do with CAM or one of the other changes to the game.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you extracted the installer from the zip? Double clicking on the zip will not install the files as you need to extract the installer first. I always do that to a separate folder before double clicking the installer. I also save the zip file in a separate folder too so if I need to re-install I don't need to download again.

Actually these installers won't budge out of the zip as far as I can tell.  I had the same problem with Simgoober's individual files but the compilation packs you bundled together install no problem.  I am just doing the same thing as hundreds of times before but it just won't work this time.  Is it something to do with the x-tool?  I am probably way off the mark with that idea but it feels like something new has happened since the files have relocated to the LEX from the STEX.  If you don't have any further suggestions, I will just keep trying.  I think it is something simple, but who knows.

Can you give the name of a few files that you are having problems with as I need to check them and see if they work for me?

Deadwoods DEDWD MEGAPropPack Ver1 will not install. Neither will his Aussie Retail Series.  Same goes for all Marcszars files except Coleman and Sons Distributers.  Simgoober's recent cinema is another one.  Also PEG's Random woods wont install.  I don't think he is on this site but I just thought I would mention it in case it suggested a common link to the other files to you.  Oh,and the cleanitol won't install either.
As I said the compiled Simgoober ones are ok as are things like BSC essentials and other prop packs, and lots of other files.

I have just downloaded and installed a sample of marcszar's work. deadwoods's MEGA Prop pack and the Aussie Retail series  and also simgoober's latest theatre. All installed perfectly so your problem is something on your machine. All use the same installer program so if one works then there is no reason why the others won't.
I'm sorry but I have no idea what could be stopping you installing anything.
