Highway 10 is a coastal route that runs along the ocean. When it enters the bordertown region, it enters through the north to avoid the mountains. It is said highway 10 got its designation after it was determined it was going to cross Mitaaswi, a historic area where it is said the first 10 Europeans set foot in the region and where greeted by the natives. The tale then goes on that they where shot with arrows, looted and thrown into the ocean. It is likely this reason why some areas of Bordertown Region are within native lands - while the government forcibly removed natives from all over the area around Bordertown, it likely wasnt all that interested in confronting armed Natives. Mitaaswi is a local native word meaning 10 - likely named because of said meeting. It is this number that gave the coastal highway its designation. The rail line travels a rather odd path. When the railway was laid out, locals where adamant that it passed by scenic Wagosh Nibi, and they got there wish. After passing by Wagosh Nibi it crosses the French River before continuing south along side the river.

Here is Highway 10 going through East Arm (tile B). It begins by following French River until it meets up with East Arm, then scoots north of Muskoka through East Arm, curves south in Mitaaswi and crosses the River in Muskoka West. South of the River it passes by Wagosh Nibi, litterally translated to Fox Waters because its not uncommon to see a red fox taking a dip in the lake to catch some of the local pike. After curving around the lake, it travels along Little Creek. it continues south till it meets up with the Ocean to continue its scenic drive south.

Whoa. That sharp curve looks like a deathtrap. Imagine if it was late at night, and you were getting drowsy... such a straight, boring road... then suddenly-

Yeah. I'm scared of driving in your region now, man. :D

Now that you posted your pictures, you are not allowed to change anything anymore. We made copies and judge the originals only.

We also will not make any comments in this thread besides the judging once it is finished by Wednesday next week, but we will make useful and friendly comments in your regular thread of GRV. Points will be given 3 to 4 days after the challenge is finished and will be posted in the Pointage Sheet.
Also your points only together with an explanation and comments why we gave you these points, will be posted here at the end of this challenge.

Please delete the third picture (deadman's curve). You can show it in another thread of yours. We asked for two pictures only in the Challenge, and maybe a plan or something, but nothing more. Thank you.

First of all let us congratulate You. You have made it through the first Mayor's test.
On the picture below, circles with letters will indicate what was important in your region for this challenge. If we say we don't like or we like, it doesn't mean that it's the same for others. We are judging to our lknowledge and what would be the most logical thing to do in our opinion, remember this.

A.  is a real eyecandy and good looking, I think only two mayorsdid this. Looking good though does not always mean practical or logical.
B.  Building two bridges and spending almost twice as much wasn't a good idea in this test.
C.  Although building in mountains always cost more than on flatland, this choice seems to be quite acceptable, while staying on the bottom of the mountains you did well.
D. and E.  Good choices for building bridges and crossing the river.
F.  I liked the way both road and rails re-unite as it often happens irl for easier access and maintenance.
G.  I really like that you followed the river and the coast with your road as it is often see in this world of ours. Good job.
H.  Well, kinda good, but well......what a detour though. Very good job generally speaking. Congratulations and good luck with the next challenge.

heh, I really struggled to hit six tiles, also my other thought was that almost the entire region except for two squares has access either to the main road or main rail line.
