Hello everyone, firstly i apologize if im in the wrong section, second: sorry for my bad english.

Here is my problem: Im playing Sim City 4 since some days, and im encountering an annoying graphic bug. Here some screenshots:

SS 1
SS 2
SS 3

As you can see, i still can play, but it's really bad to have that annoying graphic bugs and i would like to fix this problem.

Once i solved this problem myself, switching rendering from Hardware to Software, but it's really bad playing with software rendering because graphics are at really low details and i have some audio bugs also... I can't play the game at it's best with that.

Here my pc's specifics if u need them:

OS: Windows XP Professional SP3
RAM: 3 GB
CPU: Intel Core Duo E6750 @ 2,66 GHz
Video card: nvidia 8800 GTX 768 MB

edit: The mods I installed are NAM, Canals, Ground leveler and trees pack. Anyway the bug was already there BEFORE installing the mods.

Tell me if u need more informations, thanks in advance for your help.

what rendering mode and resolution is the game set on? Did you restrict the game to only one CPU core?

on a side note: do you really live on the south pole?
RIP Adrian (adroman), you were a great friend

Yeah. Change the rendering to software, then change it back to hardware. It worked for me.

HI there Skiaffo and welcome to SC4D,

I'm sorry your not having such good luck playing cause of the graphics issue there... I do have Two thought's here that may be of some use to you... have you updated your video card driver at all recently? That might help... Also I see you have a dual core processor this may help here linkie.... Clicking on that link will start an automatic download and its a tut on how to fix the dual core by DocRolach... I swear by it that it works at least when I was having a CTD issue and well it can't hurt to see if it will fix your issue as well with the graphic issue but no guarantees as its primary aim is CTD's....

It's not working... with software rendering the bugs disappear but the graphics are very bad... and sound is buggy. If i switch it back to hardware rendering there are again the same bugs.

Run SC4, then hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete to open the task manager. Go to the Processes tab, find "SimCity 4.exe", right-click on it and choose Set Affinity. Then put ticks on CPU 0 and CPU 1. That's all :)

Just did it, but does't work.

You may also need to turn off the advanced features of your video card, or at least set them to "Application Controlled". SimCity 4 is so old that it can't utilize video card features such as Anti-Aliasing.
