Some time ago I posted the problem I was having with SC4Mapper not loading/working. I'm downloading directx9 into the sys32 directory again, when it asked me to overwrite existing files do I say yes? Any other advice or steps I need to take?

Sorry, yes I do. When I began to install Directx9 it asked me if I wanted to overwrite files, which made me a bit nervous.  %confuso

Mapper won't work then.

However there might be a way to fix it.
Hunt around the board for mapper. there was a thread which the answer to was found involving vista!

SC4Terraformer works better under Vista - and it contains all the features of SC4Mapper and more.  I would recommend that you install SC4Terraformer instead.
