So we begin Challenge 2 with a view of generation, power generation that is. Bordertown is powered by the East Arm Coal Generating Station. Situated on the shores of East Arm, it provides the area with its power. Coal is used because of the vast amount of coal mining on the North Side of the Grande River, as the power plant has its own trucking station for coal storage and also a small rail depot and is hooked up to the regional rail line via a spur. It's located a few minutes off of Route 10, on a mostly freshly paved road: only one section remains on the repaving list.

Workers for the Power Plant reside in the town of East Arm, which is also hooked up to the same spur line as the coal power plant, however here it serves the small town's industrial section...

And an overview, that also shows one of the region's few timber mills, and the only one located on the North side of the Grande River....

For the region's water supply, a supply station and bottling depot are set up in Wagosh Nibi. It is the only clean source of water left in the region as it untouched by the tailings that come from the coal mines on the north side of the grande river which has polluted most water in the region. It is also served by a small station that is used to ship bottled water to all over Simland.

And finally a brief history lesson. Before Route 10 was even on the drawing board, Route 1 served the region running along the coast. After Route 10 was built in the 1940s, which also absorbed parts of Route 1 including what is now known as the Route 10 bridge. After Route 10 was opened, the road way was slightly altered to continue running north through Muskoka and into East Arm. However, Route 1 still exists to this day, as it is a vital route to areas on the west side of mountains along the coast and also as a collection route to coal mines in the region, and also as tourist road.

Also, Route 1 covers the only two tiles that did not get any road or rail service in challenge 1, and covers 5 tiles exactly including the one in which it starts in.

Your challenge 2 is well done according to the rules and the demands. You can now play on 2 more citytiles anywhere in your region. This will be a part of challenge 3. Make sure that you have at least 100 citizens in all three tiles you played in (no population max limit).

I like that you've combined SimGoobers coal plant and coal mine. Those two side by side make for an excellent power plant. I don't think that I've seen the water plant you used. I'll have to go searching for it. Great ideas  &idea

Judgement of the Challenge 2

A.  Starting from route 10, following its path for awhile and then crossing rte 10 again does not make logical sense to us, but from the crossings on, it is nicely done, so nice that we gave you 4 points for the route challenge the same.
B.  Good choice of lots used and location is excellent compared to the residential areas. We gave you 4 points for the energy challenge.
C.   Althoug we didn't like the workers living so close to the waterfacility, we gave you 4 points for the water challenge mainly because of good lots chosen and nice assembly at a road/rail intersection.

A Total of 12 Points were added to your challenge.

Congratulations, well done. Could have used some more details and effort. Good luck with the next challenge.

Nicely contained township - the power poles offer great value. Where did you get the coal mine from? (or is it something else - 5th picture , the one on the bottom) The texture of the coal is fantastic!
