This is the basic layout of Evans, the city I will be building in Quad H to respond to Barby's (barbyw) secessionist demands.

This is reduced by a little over half.  The full-size map I will be working off of is here [linkie].  It will open in a new window.

Well this looks really nice... you seem to be delaying any actual development though.  :P

Yes I agree. I hope David realises he has only until next Sunday to show me his development.

That's because I'm picking through the LEX for buildings'n stuff for my plugins folder.  I can't believe how behind the times I am in terms of that.

Plus, I have a confession to make.  I dither...

You'll have a 4GB+ Plugins folder before it's over, since there are so many great must-have buildings available.  :)  I think it will be good for you to do some actual development, David.  However you go about doing it, I'm sure you'll do it right.  ;)
Find my power line BAT thread here.
Check out the Noro Cooperative.  What are you waiting for?  It even has electricity.

Working, working...

...Aaaaak!  A palm tree!  I hate palm trees!...

I can't believe how much LE work needs to be done with the game stuff.

Great work so far. As far as I'm concerned, I like watching things grow:D

Well, the palm trees ... whenever I see them I always have to think of Digby and the Plastic Palm Tree factory ...  :D

As I said in 3RR nice railway station layout and a good transition from STR to DTR. I also like the industrial side track ( ;)). I would however add a small siding at its end for shunting manoeuvers so that the engines can switch the end of the trains there. In addition you could a freight terminal there, the ingame one isn't unsuitable there.

BTW I might quote you somewhere in the near future with that design in my "Thoughts"

Take care

Bernhard

Moving on along...

I am figuring out the transitions to the city streets.  I'm pretty close to satisfied with the way this is working out.

I'm looking, btw, for more small town W2W commercial buildings, having put to use everything created by Jon (JBSimio) and spa.  All suggestions would be very much appreciated.

That was classic. He certainly did well at "playing with the game." Good CJ that was.

David, instead of going into the LE, you could look into one of c.p.'s palm replacement mods (they'll replace the prop with your choice of tree: aspen, cottonwood, etc) the only downside is that they wouldn't be seasonal... or could they be... I don't think they are right now though.

As for w2w buildings, I'm not too sure. I think beutelsclurf has been working on a few things, and I think one might be in LEX scrutineering now.

Very nice progress. It looks like I'm going to have to spent some quality time with the game tomorrow in order to keep up in this challenge. Well done.

SG also has some W2W buildings on the LEX as well as a multitude of small commercials and industrials.

I trust all the buildings have grown and not been plopped as well.
