Seawalls, huh?  What purpose do they serve?  They ARE just eye-candy, right?

Well, I know that.  But where would they look best?  In a hi-tech jungle?  In a giant skyscraper filled metropolis?  In a tiny suburb?  Could you post a few examples as pictures, maybe?

alan_vzla

Yep, they're only eye-candy. In RL sea walls are used to protect the coast from erotioning and thay also serve as a park or a recreation area for the citizens since they're usually ornamented.

On big cities you won't see sea walls that are very elaborated, they do have some walking space, a couple of benches but usually nothing big, unless it's in a very wealthy sector, or in a turistic area or park of some sort.

On smaller towns you will see them a little more ornamented, maybe with more trees, a couple of stores maybe, stuff like that. In industrials secdtor they one do their job protecting the land, they are not intended to give the workers a place to relax.

If you want to give the looks I described I recomend to use Marrast seawalls on a big city, maybe Cal's in a small town or touristic area and Jeronij's in an indsutrial setting, but this is only my opinion

Dreamcat

Ah, thanks man -- I will try that.

So should I use them for pretty much every city?  (except for maybe out in the farmlands...)

Another option for a different type of seawall is to use mayor mode ploppable rock flora. It can look more varied, and can look nice in the right spots.

Okay Seawalls...
I went through a phase were I couldn't get enough seawalls.    I have seawalls from all over the world.   There are dozens of them.    Check out the links to Japanese sites.   MAS-71 has a couple of really good ones and there are lots more.   Marrast's are great I use those alot.      Jeronji had good ones.     Too many to even list.    The problem I run into is that none are perfect,   every set seems to end up missing some vital piece I need to finish something off.    LOL    I have had creators of these walls make special requests because of this.    MAS-san made a dryland version (did not need to be plopped in water) of one set, because I asked.     It has been VERY useful.     I think you will be amazed at how many versions of seawalls there are.    It just takes a bit of looking.    I wish i had made a list of links but RL keeps me from taking that kind of time.    I'll try to post some as I find um again.

Good Luck

However they are a bit confusing, any links maybe?

Also I can't find Cal's seawalls.  Linky please?

Dreamcat

Yeah, and I can't find them anywhere on the LEX.
