I downloaded Gmax, BAT, plugin manager, and lot editor and began designing a simple box just to see if everything worked. anyways i was able to export my box from BAT but it exported it as .gmax file not the .SCModel file that the plugin manger requires.  I have tried everything but can't seem to find any preferences or anything that would tell me how to export in .SCmodel file.  Can anyone please help i have been trying to get the BAT tool for years (litterally) and now i'm pissed that it won't work.

hmmm... sounds like you are trying to save the file, instead of exporting it. You have to go to the leftmost tab of the control box, go to the BAT rollout and there you will see a subrollout called Export. There you will find the export button. This will present you with a succession of render windows showing the rendering on each angle of the SC4 view. It takes some time for this to happen, especially on more complex models. You could probably find more information in the BAT tutorial and help segments of this site.

Ah! It saves the model in your plugins folder. If the plugins folder is in a non-standard location, this could cause a problem.

Thank god i fixed the issue.  I simply reinstalled gmax into my C:/User's file instead of just my C:\ i guess you were right, it couldn't find my plugins folder from C:\, thanks for your help
