It seems like there used to be a mod to get rid of them when I played before, but now I can't find it.  I tried downloading the SFBT Diagonal FIllers, but they are square tiles, too, from what I can tell and don't solve the problem.  Plus they're very hard to use because there are so many you can't get rid of the MML.

I have a mod to take care of this with my rails...I think it just makes the textures transparent or something.  Is there a similar solution for avenues and roads?

Thanks.

Okay, I found a solution on the STEX that's really old and not perfect, but certainly a lot better than nothing.  Problem is it doesn't match up the pavement very well and the grass behind the diagonal isn't transparent, so for a lot of people it would be just as ugly.  With my terrain mod it looks passable, though.  My rails in the pic above are too close to use them, but live and learn I suppose.

If there is a mod or better solution I'd appreciate it if someone would let me know.  I've searched but this was all I could find...the "simple diagonal fillers" on STEX.

Check out my No Grass Mod on the Stex...The only way to get rid of the "blocky"base texture completely will require not using any sidewalk mod (sandstone , etc) and my mod.If you want to use any sidewalk mod , it will match completely regardless of the wealth of lots. My mod removes the Grass edges from 99 percent of the roads, oneway , Streets and aves , including the diagonals. If you download , please read the readme because in order for it to work completely , it requires a few extra downloads ...but it is worth it!

Thanks, but that's not what I'm looking for.  I'm looking for something to get rid of the pieces of sidewalk sticking out.  The grass isn't bothering me.

Like I was saying , the only way at this time would be for you to use the No Grass Mod in conjunction with the other mods referred to in that readme , and not use any textured sidewalk mods. At that point , the result would be more like what the NAM curves are (without my other sidewalk mods of course  :))

Could have swore there used to be a mod for this at STEX a few years back.  Guess I'm wrong.  Will try your method.

There's a solution, but it's all or nothing.  You can either have wealth-textured sidewalks and funny looking grass or not.  The problem is, if you don't, your urbanized areas look odd.

There's things on the horizon that might help.  I can, though, fix the little notches in the rail texture in short order.  Watch this space.

Cool.  Glad to know.  Incidentally when I played simcity4 a long time ago was about when you started 3RR over on Simtropolis.  Great stuff.
