Hey all.

Just wanted to know, is dat-packing .dat files bad?

Just a yes/no will suffice, thank you.

If you're datpacking your plugins, it is best not to datpack things which are going to be updated such as the RTMT and you should never datpack the NAM. The datpacker will copy all your files into a .dat so I recommend you keep your plugins in a different folder un-datpacked just in case you want to remove or change something or there is some conflict.

Generally there is nothing at all wrong with datpacking anything else.

Thank you for your help.  It's just that some SG lots which I had dat-packed weren't growing, and when I downloaded them, they were also .dats, so...

But obviously everything is fine now.
