This may sound like a stupid question.

In the Installation instructions it recommends "not to leave any old stage 8 buildings in your plugins folders." I have conducted a thorough search but I cannot find this file in the plugin folders that I have looked in.

Does anyone know the name of this file or can anyone tell me its file location?

Thanks!

Stage 8 buildings are hi-rise buildings... skyscrapers! :)

There isn't any one file named "stage 8 buildings". $%Grinno$% There is, however, a cleanitol file included in CAM that removes old building descriptors from the plugins folder, with superseded descs from the CAMified buildings ;) Run the Cleanitol program (found at the LEX) with this file. For the ones that it doesn't remove, you can open SC4PIM (also found at the LEX), load your plugins, scroll down to "stage 8" on the left pane, locate the stage 8s, and delete them yourself. ;) (make sure that you've bulldozed them in game, first.) Hope that helps!

Thanks for your help!

I have managed to install SC4PIM and have loaded my plugins and I have found a list of Residential and Commercial buildings at stage 8 (despite running the Cleanitol file that came with the CAM). The only problem is I cannot delete these plugins, do you know how?

Not all stage 8 buildings need to be removed; some of them actually come with the game. The only ones you need to remove are those that you may have downloaded from other sites, i.e. the STEX or from Japanese batters. I don't know what your plugins looked like before you started using CAM, but it's safe to say that if you had ANY skyscrapers that you downloaded previously, then all of those need to go...

Although, since you have PIMX, you could still keep them, just re-mod them appropriately, for your own use.

Right-click, Recompute and Save (building and lot)! :)  Couldn't be easier... $%Grinno$%
