Problem:  I have several cities going at the same time; however, I can't get to all of them because of the color markers.  In other words, if I have a smaller area behind a larger area, I can't get to the smaller area as the color marker for the larger area covers it up.  Is there any way of cutting off the color markers so I can see my entire region and all my cities at the same time?

Sorry, what do you mean by colour markers?  Can you provide a screenshot to show us?

I'm not sure if this is what you mean... but are you talking about the information box that pops up when you highlight a city tile?  If that's it, you can simply click somewhere off to the side of the region (out there in space) and nothing will be highlighted or in your way.
