Hi all......Well I dont know should I bump up the thread in tutorial section or not, so I post this here &mmm

So here it is:

How can I get rid of this? Shadows are definitely strange.
It seems to be not a graphic driver/card problem as the game shows me the same result in empty plugin(no excess stuff), brand new small map with default terrain. And I use hardware rendering, 32bit color and all graphic options are high.

The bases under the el-rails are a offset prop I am making, with LOD total height 30.3m (0.2m over + 30.1m underground). Shadows are not completely cast on the bases on slope in all direction and zoom456(123 are not confirmed). The 2 left most tiles are completely flat.

Also I see similar issue occurs in diagonal pieces of Marrast's Embankment...Would anyone confirm that too?

Diggis

Shadows will not appear on LODs that are over 0.3m above ground level... or there abouts.

OK, seems I have misunderstood the previous thread...thanks for help  :-[

You were thinking it was the height above 0 of the LOD in the BAT?  That was the original thought, and it wasn't untill I saw your model I realised it was relative to ground level as some of your pieces have a small shadow at the start where they are close to the ground.

Yes I were. SimFox had only tested shadows on flat area and by altering LODs' vertices. And I have not pay attention to props on slopes  &mmm
Actually my test result was a bit suprise for me  ;)
