Hi,

I've downloaded the BAT editor and the LOT editor yesterday.
Now i want to edit an existing lot and make that edited version a new lot.
I know how to edit it and I save the new lot with the 'Save as' funtion, but I don't really understand how to import this new lot into SC4.

Can somebody perhaps  explain this to me step by step?

Also the Plugin manger has the incorrect paths for my directories (for instance users plug-ins).
SC4 is installed under E:Games\Sim City 4 etc ect....
But my directories (users plug-ins, users models etc) point to E: Sim City\ etc tc.., so no lots or other files are showing up in the Plugin Manager.
How can I change these paths in the Plugin Manager?

Thanks in advance.

There are two plugins folders in game. One of them has been installed into C:\PROGRAM FILES\MAXIS\SC4\PLUGINS  and the other plugin folder is in the directory....MY DOCUMENTS\SC4\PLUGINS. Whenever you save as a new lot , you can find it into MY DOCUMENTS\SC4\PLUGINS.

As for the Plugin's manager , in order to show some files must those files to be only in the main directory folder of MY DOCUMENTS\SC4\PLUGINS

Hope i helped.. :)

The problems is I don't have a MY DOCUMENTS\SC4\PLUGINS.
I installed SC4 a littlebit different.

I have two plugin paths on my computer.
The one where the games has been installed is E:\Games\SC 4\Plugins (so that should be the same as C:\PROGRAM FILES\MAXIS\SC4\PLUGINS)

The other path is E:\SC4\Plugins (that is probably the same as MY DOCUMENTS\SC4\PLUGINS).

I dont have a MY DOCUMENTS\SC4\PLUGINS.

I installed all my donwloaded plugins under E:\Games\SC4\Plugins.
So I probably have to move all my plugins to E:\SC\Plugins to show them in SC4 Plug-in Manager?

You can make a working directory for the lot editor wherever you want it (C drive for example) and move the lot to be edited from your E:\sc4\plugins directory to the working directory. After you're done editing, move the edited file back to the E:\sc4\plugins directory

Okay, I finally managed to edit some lots and managed to get them available in SC4.
However now I have a new problem.

The lots I managed to change and show up in SC4 weren't major changes, I only added or deleted some base or overlay textures, and moved around some props already on the lot.

However when I add a random building on these lots, the lots won't show up in SC4 anymore.
How come?

I am not sure what you mean by

How are you adding a building? What sort of lots are you making? We need a lot more specific information with pictures where possible before we can help.

I'll post some pictures later today when I'm home again, I am at work now.
Then I will show the original lot, the edited lot that shows up in SC4 and the edited lot that won't show up.

The lots are form Soulstealers Port Realism Pack II V1 (http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=19554 by the way.
