Hey all,

I have poked around the forums here and there and have uploaded some stuff to the STEX a while ago. But I have the urge to make stuff again and would like some feedback, specifically how I could make these fit in with other lots on the LEX and STEX

I have traveled a lot and Madrid has for some reason stood out as a particularly magical city. So I intend to recreate blocks from the city. Also, Buenos Aires and there will some buildings from that city as well...

Here is the start:

and this is what I am making:

Thanks!

It is a magnificent building and you are making a magnificent recreation. First thing I notice though are the tiles on the balcony not following the curve of the building. Also the roof texture is looking a little too clean.
But really it looks beautiful already.

Wow, it's a very ambitious project (that you're pulling off brilliantly) &apls

I couldn't begin to fault any aspect of the modelling, however your textures do need a fair bit of work (to bring them up to a standard befitting such a building).
I agree with Kwakelaar's thoughts. The main roof texture is cleaner, but with more exaggerated cracks than in the RL building. The texture on the smallest, highest roof (which looks to be the same one used on the balcony), is both misaligned and too heavily contrasting with the rest of the main roof (also presumably way over-scaled, otherwise those are enormous pavers...). You also have visible tiling all down the front of the main building.

I suggest spending some time to make it right, it will be worth it. ;)

Welcome back, Jon! Can't wait to see more progress on that wonderful building. I'll have to find a nice place for it in my region once it's released :P
