marrast_footways_with_NO_busstop are supposed to be transit enabled <http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=16686> however they do not seem to work. Any thoughts?

Well, they do work for me as you may see in the Update "Highrise!" in my MD.

However you need to obey some rules:

  • Never place two TE lots next to each other.
Sims do not travel between lots of any kind. Placing them next to each other will turn them to pure eyecandy!
  • Between two TE Lots must be a network tile.
This can be a street/road/one way/avenue or a pedestrian mall from the NAM
  • There must be an alternative route to the TE lot.
This can be street/road/oneway/avenue but a connection with TE lots that has no alternative route over standard networks will not be considered in the pathfinding
  • The TE lots must be a shortcut.
Simple. If the alternative route is shorter why work the TE lot?
  • Pedestrian pieces next to roads will not be used.
Dunno why - ask one of the NAM gods.

LOL  You are so right. I use pedestrian walkways all the time.

I just wasn't setting up the footway where it would get used.

thanks
