SimGoober's Mega Model Packs

I noticed that many of the SimGoober lots/models can be downloaded as mega packs now. However, there are no "read-me's" with these package so I don't know if these are stand alone packages or if you need the individual downloads and the dependencies. Or do you even need to download the individual models/lots and the mega pack is just an update?
Where can one find this kind of information???

Hi mido1960!

Many of Simgoober's early creations (but not quite all unless I'm mistaken) are available on the LEX via ready made packs. This is done for the downloaders convenience and to save space in your plugins folder. So, when you download SG Commercials Lots Hotels 1 for instance, you are downloading the lot so these can grow in your game. But, you will need to download the corresponding model pack, in this case SG Commercials Models Hotels 1, for the buildings to actually appear on the lots.

For example the simgoober Mega Residentials Vol01 to 04 download descriptions don't mention any dependencies, is this possible for all these lots/models?

The whole point of the mega-packs are that they have no dependencies. What they do is pack together all the lots, models, props, etc. into one file.

You are correct in that usually the LOT's them selves are not included in the mega-packs, but I do not know specifics about SG's things.

There are 2 parts to each of these uploads, the Lots and the Models.  The lots have a list of dependencies. These should be in a readme in the lots (there is in the one linked in the second post) with the list.  The model sets don't have any dependencies as they ARE a dependency.

Each lot pack should have a list which you'll have to check.

Hello Diggis, thanks again for your patience but the simgoober Mega Residentials Vol01, 2, 3 and 4 seem to be more than just lot packs because I cannot find any model packs related to them. And is you can see in the following lot description, no dependencies are mentioned

Lot Description:
All my residentials have been updated and packaged into dats. This set contains condos and rowhomes as per the list below. As these are updates you can safely install even if you have the old ones growing in a city as all have the same IIDs. Before installing this pack please remove all previous models and lots using the enclosed text files or use them with BSC Cleanitol to do the work for you.

J just found some of the individual original file (download) sets which are part of the packages now and these original downloads require some dependencies which are not mentioned as a requirement in the packages. So I don't know if I need this dependencies or if they are included in the packages. It is not explained in any read-me. Remember, I am only talking about the residential mega packs 1 to 4.

The files you downloaded (the mega-packs) have no dependencies. The files listed in those mega-packs are what have been packed into the mega-packs.
