I recently downloaded CAM and found a bunch of starter "CAMelots" packs to go with it. I know the difference between the ploppable and growable lots now, but do if a building comes with a ploppable and growable version, can I put them both into my plugins folder or do I need to choose one?

Scenario ... there is a tall building that is ploppalbe and growable. It happens to grow at stage 8 but it is very tall and would grow as a stage 13 if it is CAM'ed. What now?

1. Remove the stage 8 growable. Use the CAM version of that building if you are using the CAM mod.

2. If the plop lot as a landmark with no jobs? OK - no problem.

3. A plop lot with jobs? May or may not be OK. It depends on how many job seekers in your city are looking for the type of jobs the plop lot provides. The undesired result is that the sudden appearance of new jobs will screw up the game engine capacity and demand calculations. However, plopping wisely, at the right time, allows the game engine to obsorb the new jobs because you have enough job seekers. So the answer is yes, the caveat is be careful.

Here is a post about the subject ...

Thanks, but can I put both lots into my plugins folder? Will the files interfere if they are both in there at the same time?

A growable and a ploppable can be in the same folder, yes.
