I am using the Maxis roads and avenues in my city. I was under the impression that the NAM made the roads and avenues have turn lanes in them. If this is not the case, can someone direct me to the mod that makes this possible. I have never worked with the RHW and I know it is a matter of time before I need to, but now is not the time. Can someone help me with the Maxis roads?

Thanks

It's one of the options you can install with NAM. When you're running the installer, you should see checkboxes for adding turn lanes to roads and avenues.

There is also the TULEPs mod for additional turn lane options, and I think there's a few threads here dedicated to how to install and use that.

The turn lane .dat's are in the NAM folder as plugins and I am pretty sure that I chose them during installation. What else do you suppose may be the issue?

If I am correct isn't the Tuleps a part of the RHW system? I didn't think that they were for use with the Maxis roads.

Thoughts!

TuLEPs aren't a part of the RHW system.  They're part of the NAM proper, installed through the Turn Lane Extension option on the installer.

If the turn lane .dat files are in your plugins, but the turn lanes aren't working, that would suggest a file conflict of some sort.  Do you by chance happen to have any of the old "Transit Supplement" or "Supermod" files in your Plugins?

What a buffoon I am. Shows you what I know. Here I thought that TuLEPs were a part of the RHW.

Still don't understand why it wouldn't be working correctly. This is a fresh install of the game. I had what I thought were conflicts because the game was crashing, so I copied it all to another drive (separate machine) and started fresh. I don't believe there would be any old conflicting files since they were all deleted off my HD.

Is there a tutorial on how to safely delete the NAM and reinstall it. I want to make sure that everything was chosen correctly.

Here is a better pic of it. Seems that 4-way avenues are good, but when it comes to road intersections it is a no go.
If I try to make the intersection with the TuLEPs it just looks bad.

Thoughts?

The reason it's a no-go is because that functionality doesn't exist (and won't exist).  There are no turn lanes (aside from TuLEPs) for Avenue/Road intersections.  The Avenue ones apply to Avenue x Avenue +-intersections, and the Road ones apply to Road x Road + and T-intersections.

In order to use the TuLEPs right, just plop the intersection pieces over an already-dragged intersection, and the turn lane pieces over top of the dragged Avenue and Road leading up to the intersection (at least one), using the transition pieces to transition from the turn lanes to the base Road and Avenue (also placing those over top of an already-dragged network).
