I'm playing SC4 and after downloading parks, commercial buildings, landmarks etc from the BSC Exchange, I'm not sure at this stage what to do.

Where do I put these files so that they show up in the game?

Thanks

You need to open the zip files and use the installer in the zip to place the lots etc where they need to be. Make sure you have downloaded any dependencies that are needed too. These will be linked in the Readme that is found in each zip.

Important thing when Adding custom content, go slow, specially with mods.

Best to have a sandbox region to test things out before adding them to your favorite (s) regions to make sure you have all dependancies for the lots and to aviod problems specially when adding mods.

Back up any cities or regions somewhere else just in case things don't work out the way you planned, so you can reload them to their orginal state.
