I've been away from SimCity for quite a while (cancer + 3 strokes.....I feel MUCH better now! <grin>)

I was only getting started on mods back before all this started (5+ years ago) and never really got the hang of it.

After looking at a lot of the files, including props (and all the apparent families of props) and the lots and textures and more, I can see where come files might mess up other files.

What I'm looking for is a good, basic load of mods, including NAM, and which ones I might want to avoid, at least for the start.

I really want to avoid the BIG BROWN BOXES I used to get, especially for a Shell Station!

Thanks!
Buddy
Now cancer-free and pretty much recovered! PTL!)

MandelSoft

Well, if you check the dependencies, you should be able to avoid brown boxes. Missing dependencies are often the cause of Brown Boxes.

Welcome back!

A brown box is a missing building model on the lot. If you're missing props on the lot, they won't show up, but only a missing building model will show a brown box. In order to get the best results, as MandelSoft above suggested, make sure you download all the dependencies the download suggests (or check the readme included with it).
