anyone know of such a mod? i use sc4 often, in such a way, like a model city set. so it would be great if i could get them to stop doing this when i want to, and have the whole city looking nice. yes its a cheat ,lol.

He, nice idea - I've been previously quickly looking at the specs but as a matter of fact I don't really know about the specific triggering for this one. That would be interesting, especially in larger ventures this does happen every now and then and besides the plain fact that it's not really very pretty, this feature does not exactly tell much about how well the city is run.

If a place turns completely dark, then that is a noteworthy sign though.

There has to be a trigger for this, you could just as well set everything dark or nice and shiny by default. Maybe somewhere deep inside the RCI setup?

Besides, you'd like to alter the look of a given place. Not the effect this look does represent. That isn't cheating, I think.

Well, I guess so. I thought this was about abandonment, meaning that it enforces abandoning. Most likely a misinterpretation... thanks.

Yup, that's the one, thanks! so it says when a building is rebuilt upon a city, hmmm. re-built. let's give it a go! cheers

JAYJAY138, just wondering but you might fancy this mod.

That enables you to place any regular building straight into your region. You might as well stick with the following.

These two mods should allow you to create a city completely without economic restraints. Adding the mentioned abandonment mod will make it even look pretty.
