sc4lotinfogen errors

Hey guys. I'm new to scene here. I haven't had too many problems yet adding a few things to my game like a few mods and buildings, but there is this one thing that is bothering me when I played around with sc4lotinfogen yesterday. I get list of errors and i can't figure out what i'm missing or what i did wrong. Which i think may be preventing some of my plugins from working. However... SC4 Tool and Cleanitol isn't showing that i'm missing anything.

Now here is my question..  Is there anyway to test or see if say a building is indeed working in-game properly without having to build a city and hoping it shows up? I'd imagine if i had over 20 or more buildings it would start getting hard to keep track of all the buildings i should see in-game and to know if they are all working or not.

The reason i ask this is because on the 2nd html page outputted by sc4lotinfogen some buildings that should be in-game like the Riviera and a few others do not get generated on that page. And i haven't seen them appear in-game yet.. However i don't know if i just haven't been lucky enough yet or that there is some error that sc4 tool isn't seeing?

I'm sorry if all this has been posted a million times elsewhere, But i've searched for many hours last night and this mourning and nothing is coming up in Google at all with any keywords i try to use on those errors, and also simtropolis.com seems to be down today for me since last night so i couldn't search their forums...

The error that is reported for the NDEX building might be caused by a faulty lot; apparently, the same ID shows up both in the R-§§ and R-§§§ lot. The warnings about the NetworkAddonMod4.dat are interesting, there seems to be doubled files included indeed - they won't harm, though, they are just unnecessary ballast. The report about the Avenue Turning Lane plugin should be ok, though, since this plugin is overriding the standard avenue intersections.

Andreas is quite correct about the Angel's Creek lots. I have checked the original download from NDEX and the R$$$ and R$$ lots both have the same IID so there will be conflicts. You need to delete one or the other.

but again, do any of you know of the best tool or tools that could check to see if a bat is working in-game without actually creating a bunch of cities and trying to see if it ever develops.

Is the lotinfogen accurate? Any lots not showing up in 2nd page generated will not show in-game? Or is that not accurate?


Sorry again if these questions been asked many times. I'm trying to learn as much as possible on my own. But any small jump start would be appreciated :D

Probably the best method to check if a lot grows properly is to use the BSC No Maxis Files mod that blocks all Maxis buildings. Empty your plugins folder apart from the BAT you want to test, put the Maxis blockers in there, then start a city (the best would be one that is already developed, but doesn't contain any custom BATs and lots) and zone a lot of the required size. If there's enough demand for the RCI category, it should grow more or less immediately. Of course, this doesn't show if the lot will actually grow in the game (it might have too many or too less occupants, compared to similar lots that will grow more frequent), but at least you know that it's working fine technically.
