this is what they should look like

problem 1: the water is mising

problem 2: everything is missing

ive tried resizing the lods i made them 2 meters higher
HELP!

Diggis

Firstly, I've changed the title of the thread.  Not terrible appropriate or considerate.

Secondly, what level are your LODs.  It looks like they are below 0 in the Z value.  You need them to be above 0 to show in game.

And you've discovered why none of us who've made canals have made them very deep.... The cause of the missing water is the difference in height between the LOD and the water level.... The game viewing angle is the culprit, and there's not really a way around.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it

Diggis

Ahh of course.. I hadn't taken a proper look at the images and thought they were over an edge... I see now.

i have an idea!
what if i did make it on a cliff?
like the rural sunken highway walls made by buddybud on simtropolis?

that way i can have the brick part be on the slop and then have seperate water peices!

how do you make buildings on a slope?

ihatetacos

ok i fixed it :)

but i still have a problem...the shadows look weird how do i fix?

also is there any way to improve these canals to make them look better?

zero7

The shadow problem is because the light is shining round the edge of the model.  Just extend the wall of your canal until no shadow is cast on the path.
