I like SA's cycleway kit, but it has its disadvantages. As it is textures, you will experience the "water graphics bug" when you save and such. If the cycleway were flat props, that wouldn't happen. Also, I miss underpasses for road, avenue and highway and an "underbridge piece" for el.rail etc.

Here's what im looking for

I think it would be a pretty easy task for someone with bat knowledge

Anyone interested?

wouanagaine

the problem I forsee with turning the overlay texture into a mesh is that it will be less slope tolerant.

*bump* I'm bumping this thread because it seems, with the knowledge of people like buddybud and ChrisAdams (nick ? :P) that props can be made slope tolerant. This makes a new cycleway set immediate again :).

Well, making props slope tolerant is easy, just set the "Orient to Slope" property to "True". But as wouanagaine already pointed out, this would only work on "straight" slopes; if the ground surface is uneven, the prop might "disappear" in certain places on the lot. One thing that would work, though, is using the technique that is used in the Street Addon Mod - network textures can have have transparent parts without triggering the dreaded "Water Graphics Bug". As usual, such bike paths will have to become a NAM plugin, though.

Are you able to set an edge detail for textures?  I seems that there are a lot of cycleways on the footpaths which could be added to the streets and roads using t21's if it's possible?

So the T21 would add along with the footpath a red strip for bike paths.  Is this possible?
