Hi,

Does anyone know how to lock down any other traffic then pedestrians? I want to make an tall sidewalk tile so that zones see them as a real road. But only pedestrians are allowed to walk there. No cars!

Thank you!

You can't use lots to provide access between zones and roads. You can use the ped malls that come with the NAM, but please remember that they only work with commercial and industrial lot, and only if you connect them with the road network via a mass transit lot. If you want to connect residential zones, you will have to use regular streets or roads.

I have made en example of what i want. I dont exacly understand what you mean by 'via mass transit lot'.

I have seen an alley access mod somewhere it must work.. like this?:

I think the last pic is possible. The first one is hard. I have seen plaza's some years ago that you could plop on an street. It would only let pedestrians walk over it, and shops had still road access

OK, a transit enabled lot will not allow access across it to zones as it is a Lot itself.  So if the pedestrian areas in your pic are lots they will not connect allow sims to the commercial zones.

However, you can used pedestrian mall tiles, which are puzzle pieces (and therefor actual network tiles) which will allow pedestrians to get to the zones.  But for the pedestrian to get to the Ped Mall lots you need to have them touch a Mass Transit lot like a bus stop to get them to enter the ped malls.

It looks to me like you are trying to create an alley lot with parking on one side and pedestrians on the other.  This will not allow zones access.  Sorry.

Nique

I have build alley lots next to eachother with shops around it that actualy worked.

What about this then, i can edit and modify this!?

It won't help.  A lot (transit enabled or not) will not allow access to any zones that face onto it.  What you are doing would allow pedestrians across the lot to the other side, but would not allow them into the commercial lots.

Nique

Hmm, thanks, kinda weird, what if i also put an arrow to the east (where commercial is)..

No!  A Lot will NOT provide access to zones.  No matter what you do to it!

Sorry, I have seen your second Pic, and that is also not possible.  The Plaza's you are thinking about are the pedestrial puzzle Pieces from the NAM that Andreas and I mentioned earlier.  They are not Lots, but an adapted road network.
