SC4 Deluxe is taking up 750mb whenever I play, even if I play with a empty plug ins folder. Any idea on how to get it to drop some? I only have 1 gig installed in this system.

It's taking up 750MB only because Windows requires at least 250MB (for XP). If you had more than 1G it would be using more than 750! ::) $%Grinno$%

The sad truth is that SC4's a RAM hog. Really not much you can do about it. Sticking to small and medium cities should help keep it playable and, depending on your video card, you might want to adjust the graphics settings towards the low end...

Or, I bet you can add 1G of RAM for less than $100...

Thats true - but just barely. Its an older system and requires DDR, which is still insanely priced. Waiting for Nehalem to come out later this year, I wonder how well SC4 will be able to handle 12 gigs of triple channel RAM  ;D
