hi, i don't no if this is the right place to ask it here, but i don't now where else to place it.
i want to try to instal bat but i get every time the same error "gmax from discreet does not appear to be installed.you must downloaded blablabla.
well, i've done that downloaded it and installed but the error still there i still can not install the program?
does some one now what the problem is.

I can't help immediately...but with more info someone else might be able to....

What os are you using?
Where did you install all simcity programs (default location or somewhere else?
Is your copy of gmax registered (it's unsupported but there's workarounds that were released via turbosquid so legal.)
Did you try to install bat before gmax?
etc......

As much info as possible.

hi , i have xp home  but i can't install the b.a.t. tool
i've try it many times but its stil saying you need gmax
any suggetions would be helpfull.
and yes if have it registrated.
but gmax will not start even to its says its missing things? ()what()

What happens when you run gmax on it's own? Do you still get an error?

lol...i asked because lots of people assume gmax IS bat. When bat is really just a front end for gmax. Did you try to install bat before you installed gmax and then installed gmax? That will give you errors. If that's the case you may have to uninstall bat, gmax. And reinstall in the right order.

Just always keep in mind that Gmax, the actual 3d modeling program, will always need to be installed first.  The BAT, a plugin for gmax, uses MAXscript to create a render process which sc4 understands.

Also keep in mind that a few updates are needed before accurate BATs are to be produced from the tool!  "$Deal"$
