Hello,

I was wondering if any growable lots can be used with CAM and what changes would I need to make for them to be included in the Camelot Counter?

Would I need a particular program to make the changes?

I was looking at adding this farm for example: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2114

Thanks!

Yes, any growable lot can be used with the CAM. Though if the stats for the growable lot in questions stats don't fit well in with the new stats system used by the CAM, you could run into problems in your city.

A: the lot becoming a weed lot and over grows everywhere, B: possible cause of it's stats, condition for it to grow may never happen, so basicly you have a lot that taking up cycling resources, but never grows in the game, C: possible the lot growing and disrupting growth in the city.

Now for most lots that are close to Maxis orginal stats you might not have any problems with them, the more radical the stats, or the more the stats for the lot in question as outside the new Cam lots stats, the more likely a lot could cause you problems.

Easiest thing to do if you like the look of a lot, try running the lot through the Pim-X tool and create new stats for it that would be more inline to the Cam stats, just make sure you replace the old DESc file or delete the old one before creating a new one.

This lot by Teacat is a low level lot and Teacat knows what she is doing, it stats shouldn't be to far off and shouldn't cause an issues that I can tell. I do suggest if your using the CAM, that it is best to create a new Desc file just to be on the safe side.

That's great...thanks so much! I'll give that tool a try...haven't used it before, but I should be OK. If I run into problems I'll be back! :)
