I'm pretty sure there's at least one tutorial around here on making topos. I thought David did one but if he did, I can't find it. Also, there's a tool or cheat we can use to show elevations in game, but once again, no luck finding it. &mmm I have the extra cheats plugin, but I don't see it in there.

Thanks in advance
for help and suggestions... :)

Hi Joan, I'm not sure about maps, but I know that to get the contour lines, you need to press ctrl+alt+c (very similar to the cheat to get the default God mode tools, without the shift and with the alt  ::) )

Hope this helps :)

Thank you, Jacob. I'll give it a try tomorrow! :)

If you have the greyscale images that the map was made with, you could use them to make the topo map.

Oops, I just had a go of the contours myself, and discovered that it is actually ctrl+shift+c not ctrl+alt+c -

My apologies for being unable to stop back in earlier to thank each of you for taking the time to help!

Jacob, actually that keystroke combination is printed on the back cover of the SC4 user's guide, but I never noticed it before. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

Joelyboy911, there is no grayscale map with this one – I created the region from 36 large flat city tiles.

You're absolutely right, thingfishs.
I was looking for it in the 3RR table of contents, not the Wiki, so I might never have found it without your help!

Later...
:)
