Heyho and welcome to the fiftysixth update of my CJ Dragon islands.

Today we will visit the Saphira district of Shì Yan. This district is located at the western end of the city and is splitted into 1/3 high dense residential area, 1/3 sports park and 1/3 hi-tec park.

Let's start at a point you already know, the social housing projects near Ao ke lù station.
01

The western end of the residential area presents itself a bit wealthier than the eastern end.
02

But all of this area is dominated by two orange-red towers at the waterside.
03

The area to the west and south of the highrises gave this district it's name. From 1900 onward a big jevellery manufacture doinated all the area along the coast. The main products whas jevellery with thoose nice saphires in their wounderful colors, when it burnt down and went bankrupt in 1986, it left nearly 13.000 workers without a job and a big unused area.

In the late 1990s the city government nominated this area as one of the possible places for a new supersports center and won this project.
The project contained the renovation of the old baseball stadium shown in the next picture....
04

...a completeley new watersports arena...
05

...a new mutifunctional arena, used for basketball games, as concert hall and so on...
06

...And a new soccer arena that can also be used for multiple other cinds of sports.
07

08

The whole complex is located along the shoreline and uses huge parks as filler pieces, partyfields for fans and other stuff.
09

Some overground parking and a metro station complete the complex.
10

Northern Saphira is a Hi-Tec industry park, one of many in this region.
11

And a small overview =)

Heyho and welcome to the fiftyseventh update of my CJ Dragon Islands. Today we're going to take a trainride again. We're going to take the Coastal limited from Shì Yan to Hong Sí.

Shì Yan, 10:35PM. We and some other passengers are waiting for the DI-East service 0942 on plattform 5 of Shì Yan central station. The train will be pretty crowded today due the DISC tracks are blocked for very important works on a bridge. Service 0947 is a paralelle running regional rail service and builds together with the special services 5047 and 5048 the replacement for this late evening hour's HSR trains between Lònghú and Hong Sì airport.
The normal 4-car-EMU got extended by one normal and one motor carriage to increase the capacity.
We will leave the train again at Hòng sì while it will continue it's service to the airport and will arrive after a few more stops at Shì Fenghuang.

Awesome MD! I like you how well you incorporated your rail lines. I really like that Dragon statue.  Can you post a direct link?

I also like the use of  this transfer station with underpass. I have never seen that before.  Very nice!

The Saphira district looks great, I really like how you made the sport complexes, parks and beaches as a whole.

Heyho and welcome to the fiftyninth update of my CJ Dragon Islands.
Today I'm going to show you the Southbeach district of Shì Yan.

South beach is another one of the highrise districts around the bay of Shì Yan.

Let's start at the northwestern end of the district...
01

The bridge over the narrow bay entry is a very important connection to the west and the western ciy center. Rubin Boulevard is running over it, as usual very jammy in the rush hour.
02

The official "Southbeach" turned slowly from a sandy beach area to it's today's apperience.
03

That's the place I like most of this area. Some buildings squeezed on a tiny flat area between the mountains and the sea.
04

05

06

A nightpic...
07

And an overview. The houses at the bottom right corner of this image belong to Eastend district.
08

I hoppe you've enjoyed this update, greetings, Skimbo.
