Draggable ground textures would be cool David. I'm crossing my fingers.

Oh joy, you have a new terrain mod that comfortably camouflages itself with the tree lots :D.

Yep, I still got it.

GirlfromVerona: the STR was released as part of the NAM, now I havent tried combining the STR and the SAM but thats something to note. David might've changed it. just pointing that out.

Could it be a trick with transparent textures ??
But one thing is for sure, whatever the trick is.... wow...!

P.S.
Could be worse.
How?
Could be raining.....

I hate seams too.
Any solution that helps eliminate seams is great.

I don't recall if the dirt roads have a transparent background or not.
Or if the trees running along the roadside have a transparent base too.
If the answer was yes in both cases, whatever terrain was under both would show through and match.
If not, then I assume both trees and road use a similar background texture?

simsamerica

you've probably got a point Darmok

My guess is he made the texture from the lot into a terrain mod. :satisfied:

We're at the "finishing touches" point.  For those holding your breath, not much longer now.

Elsewhere, I continue to adjust things texture-wise.

Guys(and gals), textures brushes are possible. There's even a set on the STEX by SMP (I think &Thk/(.) The major problem is that the textures disappear after leaving the city. Unless David has figured a way around this. Even still, it appears to be useful for artistic shots. ;D

There's two things that have caused my jaw to drop to the floor:

1)  Terrell Owens signing with the Buffalo Bills; and

2)  The work going on in this thread.

Once again, excuse me whilst I go pick up my jaw off the floor.

As far as I know, only STR betas have been released so far (I have one dated 9th Feb). I could be wrong, though...

Another pic to keep your attention distracted...

I'll be uploading some wooded fencelines along with something that might be of interest to those of you who use Brian's (c.p./cycledogg) great Columbus Terrain Mod a bit later.  News on the collaboration front, too.  Still a bit busy right now, though.

Sorry about that, I picked the wrong ZIP in the first place. Unfortunately, the LEX stores the filenames, even when I update a file. So it would have to be updated manually in the database, I think. I added Windows and Mac logos to the screenshots, hopefully this will be clear enough. :)
