Up to now this is the most comment I've ever received for a post. Maybe I really found something interesting. I collected a wishlist from your posts, let's see it:
- diagonal avenue problem: it caused by the overlapping light cone models. I used different light cones, now it looks much better and smooth. T21s are not necessary to repair this problem.
- too yellow colors: as Maarten explained, these are Natrium bulb lamps, and really have this color.
- different color versions (yellowish, whithish, blueish...): the mod will come in 6 different colors, same colors as in Light Replacement Mod 3. So everything what you asked for + greenish and red (dark orange?)
- different colors per network type: it will be possible to mix colors per network per wealth level
- bridge lights: this was the first try only on bridge lights, will look better later

Now I'm working on Maxis highways and supporting NAM pieces for MHW. Only the smooth EHW-GHW transition and the wide radius GHW curves are missing.

I also found a bug (ununderstood feature?) in the game files: streetlights near roads and oneways seem appearing randomly, especially in higher density areas . This behaviour was fixed, and the game will correctly display the streetlights on every second tile. Now it is possible to make uniform nightlights for roads and oneways.

Before releasing the mod I will update bridge lights and will make support for the most commonly used NAM pieces. I hope first release can come out at January. There are several hundred different intersections in the NAM files, which should be supported too. But writing all the required T21s is huge work. This will be done later, in the second release.

Update 22 - The Beginnings

Here is my new region. Every feature tested in the previous region was for this region. The big one. It's name is Pacific Rim, after the map.
And this is the Beginning

At the beginnings there were only a toxic atmosphere, water and rocks. Sunshine, storms, lightnings. Pointless beauty. As nobody could see it.

But something formed in the ancient soup: new, complex molecules. It is not really possible to tell the point, when processes become self-supporting. From that point the evolution was just faster and faster. Oceans were full with self-copying primitive life forms. They started to adapt to freshwater, then to wet continential areas. The first flora on the Simworld was brown.

At a point oceans contained so much organic material, that the water was colored completly brown. The very high concentration of simple organic life forms launched exponential evolution into the direction of complex life forms. It started with the green pigment color, and the evolution cannot be stopped anymore. Now the Simworld has complex flora and fauna.

This is how Sim scientists think about the Beginnings. They often show the highly protected Ancient Times National Park to the public, as an example, when asked about the Beginnings.

This is probably the last update in this year. Next time I will show you other national parks from Pacific Rim.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Nice history of the beginning of the Pacific Rim there! I hope you develop the Pacific Rim as great as its history.

Whoa...not quite sure how I missed this update for so long, but this is one of the coolest bits of storytelling (if you can call it that) that I have seen in any MD. Great natural development.

nedalezz

Gorgeous!

I see you're not content with starting out from the beginnings of a town...you want to re-write the planet's history!

Can't wait to see more :)

marsh

Very creative idea.  :)

Also, great job on that lighting mod so far.

Long time spent since last update. I was very busy in RL, and spent my free time on my new uniform streetlight mod.

I really like the region view... and I am amazed at the quality of your rural/natural settings!  &apls  It really does look convincing because of the mix of elements and placement.
