I've been doing simcity for a while and am just getting into airports.  I am having a little trouble doing some mods in lot editor.    Currently I am using the airport pack from ACE.  I am trying to create lots using the unoccupied 747 Gate and the 747 props from tabi.  I am able to place the plane on the lot, but I am unable to save the lot.  I am hoping create some more variety in my airports and would gladly appreciate some help.

@andrew.j.palmer: I know your problem, some lots can't be saved for wahatever reason. To avoid situations like this, you have to rebuild such a lot. My advice is to open two LEs, one with the ACE-lot and one with a new one (e.g. some park lots can be saved as), look at the texture and props from the ACE-lot and rebuild a gate. You can add different cars and props as well and you can make further more gates (different jetways, gates without jetway and so on). I suggest to use all of tabi's props and to install all airport packages from the STEX and the new uploads by voltaire to the LEX.
After rebuilding gates you can rebuild taxiways and runways and make your airport further realistic!

Have fun with it, the possibilities are really endless!

@Gwail: Will these runways be part of new airport packs, because they look absolutely incredible! As well I'd be interested in the KLM 747 without jetways! Anyway, fantastic airport!!

Sad to inform, but the KLM 747 is only photoshopped for screening purpose .

Those were mine. The Aloha airlines and the Red/White Canadian plane were never released as the textures weren't created by me. The others also have some texturing issues that i never figured out and haven't devoted time to fixing. You can get the rest from the STEX...

now it´s time for a little teaser fro the cargo - area i´m working on.

the hole lot is abaut 13 x 27 and i make everything with the LE.
in the moment it´s the ground strukture ready and the buildings are placed....
