crashing to the desktop

Hey guys,

I downloaded a map I've used in the past using the terraformer Rio Grande Du Sol; the NAM, Diagonal Jagged edges mod, Jeronij concrete walls V2, and the BSC Parks texture and deleted all but the gray stone texture.

I successfully uploaded Rio Grande Du Sol and got the oddly colored version that you get when using the terraformer before going into the cities. I clicked on the city I wanted to play the loading screen came up... and it crashed to the desktop. Why?

Are you using a custom terrain mod?  It's possible you are missing the textures (CPTno_3 & 4 and an essential rock mod).

I attempted to download a custom terrain mod a few weeks ago and I was having the same problem, I uninstalled and deleted all of my Sim City 4 stuff from my computer and started from scratch (I was looking to go in a new direction and start a new region anyway so it wasn't much of a loss) and I'm still getting the crashes.

I did play the game a few times before re-installing the game in the maxisland region and had no problems. I have since this point not downloaded a custom terrain mod.
