Exla357 - Thx for the kind comments. About the bus skins, I took your advise and have installed a couple ones. You will see them on my next update.

jmyers2043 - Thx Jim, let's inspire each other, as I took some from your work at the CAM 2 Rural testing.  $%Grinno$%

nedalezz - Thank you my friend for your support.

RickD - Thanks Rick, you're doing an excelent job as well with your Santa Barbara County &apls

Terring7 - Thanks

jafmo - Thx Robin for the "translation", that was a nice effort done by Google Translator, I had a good laugh with it. I was about to tell this Portuguese friend about it, but you have anticipated me. To jafmo, thanks for the nice comments, now you know, any time you want to address me in Portuguese, please do so, but through a PM (Private Message) as the rules here in the forum is to express yourself in English all the time.
About your questions, I don't know which ones you mean, but I use several ones, Darmok, Suico and Paeng's. Click the names to get through the links.
About the light poles on diagonal roads, I believe it is part of the latest NAM. On the streets might be part of the Street Side Mod I'm using, Jeronij's Street Side Mod

I'll see if I can make an update tonight, if I have some spare time. In the meantime, thank you all for the support. And remember, if you have suggestions, just drop them here!

UPDATE 3

Sometimes I forget little things, like the bare look of the Maxis buses. Our friend Exla357 noticed that and suggest I download one of the many bus skins around. Here is the result.

In the mean time, all those farms have start to accumulate a lot of trash. Measures had to be taken, and a garbage disposal complex has been built.

Here is some more random images of the farms and surrounds.

And this is a general overview of this tile.

After this I'm going to another tile, north of this one. It will be also farmland in one side of the river, and timberland on the other side. The first road connection will be done between this tile and the new one, as there is only freight train connections, one on the east and another one on the north.

That's it for tonight. As usual, suggestions are welcome, as is all your comments ;)

Cheers

Exla357

Oooo boy, I'm in your MD  ()stsfd() Well, those busses look awesome, and your rural areas are awesome! This MD is well on it's way to the Best Sellers!
Keep it up

Your friend,
Alex

In my opinion, there are only a dozen or so of people out there that can make a believable rural/farming scene and let me be the one to tell you that are definatley one of them.  I'm not sure if you Gordan (Battlecat) and his MD.  You may get some really good ideas from some of the things he is up to.
The only suggestion that I have would be to look at some of the great trees that have been made lately and see if you can incorporate any of them in your scenes.
Other than that, I love what I see.  I just wish sometimes that I had the patience to make an area half as nice.  &apls

To Rayden:Thanx a lot for you reply and sorry about the fact that i wrote the message in portuguese without the translation. And now another great update and another couple of lovely pictures. Nice job.

To Robin: Sorry for my mistake  and nice translation  ;)

Just a small teaser before I get the next update ready

Nice fields indeed

Are those birches flora or props?  You can use the seasonal flora on lots if you plop them in late August/early Sept.

kwakelaar

These are really some great looking farms, lots of space around and in between.
I also see your small canals, which is something I could use for Andau. Have been thinking I should try to install one or the other, I must say the set you are using looks excellent.

I still don't have enough for an update, still need to work on detailing and raise the residential and timber areas. So I'll leave you with an overview and a couple of screen shots.

Exla357 - I knew you would like the new bus skins. Thx for commenting.

io_bg - Thx for your comment.

rooker1 - Thanks Robin. You're too kind. ;) I'm already using some of Girafe's and SimFox trees. I don't use yet the seasonal ones by CP/Lowkee, as most of the forestation in done in god mod and the the seasonal ones have a very small spread and it takes ages to forest a big area. I also had a look at Jordan's MD and I like it, gave some ideas.

jafmo - No problem, thx for coming back and commenting.

Lowkee33 - Thanks Carl. They are flora, I know about he September issue on your trees, I've been following your thread with interest ;)

kwakelaar - Thx for the very nice comment. The canal in use on the images is the SPIC by Peg, but I also like and use regularly the Ditch Set by SimGoober. Those are for farming areas. For urban areas Simgoober also have the Urban Canal (ditch style) and for Industrial areas I like to use the ones by RebaLynnTS (LAR) LA River Project. They blend well on dirty industrial areas.

And now the images

Now I'm going to play the game for a few hours to have something worth of an update ;D

Great work. The overview looks very realistic.

UPDATE 4

Replies

@RickD, Tomas Neto, Exla357 and Girafe

Thx guys, I hope you enjoy this update as well.

I kinda finish this tile as well, but I'll come back later for some updating and more detailing, as soon as the region grows in demand.

The Logging & Timber Industry

And a mosaic of the area.

I have to comeback to this later and do some proper lotting of the logging scenes instead of MayorPlopping stuff, as well as expanding the area.

An overview screenshot

And a big mosaic made of nearly 50 images, click the image to download a big one  (~14Mb - 5941x11211px)

Now I'm off to west and start a mid industry tile and start to expand the RHW and Rail networks.

That's it for today. As usual, sugestions are welcome, as is all your comments ;)

Cheers

Great! I love the way that the farms follow the river. Very realistic!

noahclem

Very nice work here lately!  &apls  Great farms, rails, and rural areas. I like all the wide-radius curves but if I could suggest one thing it would be to use more fractional angle stuff. Looking forward to more!
