Same great details that I've come to know and love. That little gate and dirt access into the orchard is a great touch. The pictures you found are great as well. The use of space and detail used in approaching the city building is great. I particularly like the night shot of the foot bridge over the rail line. The s-curve, plaza, and everything is busy for the eyes, so much going on, without feeling discordant. Looking forward to more.

Cheers for the kind words. Some of those pics are from a tile that is gone for ever so there is no way to go back and fix them, but shall remember your advice for similar situations in the future ;) Good to see you as always though.

Thank you for saying hello and am glad you like my MD so far. Been through a bit recently but am heading now in the right direction. I'm glad you like the pics and must admit it does take a while to get things the way I like them but its worth it in the end when others enjoy the pics and take the time to say so. Hoping to see you here more often

There is a reason your rural scenes are legendary, and I'm staring the evidence right here. The detail work you put into your lots is amazing. I saw those blue barrels behind the barn and wondered if you saw a spot that seemed a bit too empty and decided to put something there. Or did you see the barrels, like them and find a spot for them? The pond is a perfect fit in the scene, too.

I like the soft green palette in the second photo. I know they're the same scene from a different angle, but I like the colors a little better. I'm used to seeing the darker-colored pine trees among lighter-colored deciduous trees. The bushes are well placed, too. I usually have a problem arranging flora in a natural-looking way. And whatever did we do without Chris Adams' fences, paths and other rural treasures?

Excellent update...

Brief, perhaps, but I can only imagine how long it must take to fully detail an area like that. I'm actually curious though, how long that little area took to do, from conception to finished product.

Two great rural images there! Looking forward to more... ;)

These pictures make me dreaming of some kind of old fashioned agriculture like it existed when i was a child.
Thanks, Carl

Hi Derry,

I just stopped to say hello
I'm so happy you are still here and continue your Tales! Beautiful pictures as always  &apls

Many things happened to me during that time, some good ones, some bad ones, but this is life. I was extremely busy, had more money, then had less money  :D, got new friends - too much to tell in short words. But I'm here now and I'm going to visit SC4D more often  :)

Best regards

Hi Derry!

Long Time No See... Live wasn't too friendly to the two of us! Great to see that at least you are back on the game with a some wonderful new region,

Are those the new bushes from the animal with the long neck? They look great, in fact I always missed some nice bushes until my last hiatus.

Take care my friend and enjoy a nice tea for the two of us!  ;)

Bernhard

&dance The Tea Cat is back.  &dance

... and with some great looking pictures.

Derry, these scenes are gorgeous. I know of only a handful of players who can hold a candle to your skill for decorating the countryside. Looking back, your flair for storytelling and city building was evident from the start, and you've done nothing but get better at it.

Tuesday will be T@TT's fifth birthday. So let me be the first to congratulate you on an exemplary accomplishment, and wish you – and us -  many more years of stunning creativity.

I'm glad you're back... :)

Beautiful scenes  &apls  The mix of flora is perfect.

Very nice to see you back

ecoba

It's nice to see you back, Derry.  :)

A couple of lovely little shots you've given us. The mix of the flora over the rock and the detailing along the shore of the river is superb! And, since Joan pointed it out, a happy early birthday to your great MD.

Two great pics from a great friend.  Good to see you back, but than again...you can never keep a cat down, especially with nine lives.
I like the first pic better with all the fall colors.

Hmmmm Derry's back, nice. :)

Two great pictures you've put there, Derry. Looking really good! Seems like you toyed a bit with the seasonal trees. It's wonderful. ;)

With those trees and bushes' colours in autumn, I have to go along with Robin and say i like the first one better! But don't take it wrong, both of the pictures are exceptional, as every of your work, Derry! ;)

And Happy Birthday Tales at TeaTime. Five years worth of good pictures and good times here. Here's to five more years! ( and many many more!)  :satisfied:

Hope you have a good day, enjoying some cup of tea~

take care!

-Arthur.
I'll take a quiet life... A handshake of carbon monoxide.
