I blew up the wall to wall And added this. I'm paying lots of attention to adding parking and alleyways. And shopping and corner restaurants. This is the most realistic downtown I'm made. Ever.

I agree - this downtown looks very, very good!
And as for nightlights - I am not a specialist in this theme at all, but I see the following thing:
You started a city from plopping many buildings in the downtown and you haven't any city life yet. When I built my old cities in the similar way, I often noticed nightlights in ploppable buildings were off when I hadn't workers/residents in them. And when city growed up, nightlights appeared.
I don't know the principle exactly, maybe someone more experienced could say how to adjust it (modyfying particular exemplars?)

Edit: I forgot to say you have fantastic looking industrial area here - of course still some work to do with it  ;) And using seaport lots on the land is very good and creative idea - I do it too

AP classes pour on the work.....  &mmm

I'm trying to find time to play.

Double posting in the name of and update! 10 pics this time.

Only the downtown tile, I'm exhausted after lotting 141 custom lots for suburbs (a selection of maxis houses I like). Yes. 141.

New region shot. Anyone know how to fix the blurring effect of the leftmost tile? The game does it every other tile. If I move the blurred tile to an even numbered tile it isn't blurred...  ()what() Annoying.

I like the arrangement of the diagonal apartments, an idea that came out nicely.

That's it for today folks. Update as soon as I can. Suburbs are now priority (I wouldn't lot 141 lots for nothing)

Too tired to do responses right now... Next time, promise.

Looking good, my friend!

I love the sunken highway, especially that one interchange you've got in third picture. Good luck with your classes and I hope to see more of your work soon!

Update when it's moved from the Archive... Sent a PM to thundercrack. Guess I wait until he logs on then.

UPDATE: Apparently I'm the first to ask to have a CJ brought from the archives... So I'm forced to wait, though reading through this makes me really want to reward my readers' wonderful comments with a big fat update (the city literally doubled in size). Update when it's back.
