Really spectacular pictures guys!  Jacky, the castle was really lovely.  And TeaCat!  You really have a way with the ploppable water!  Guurgkud, 'Coral Gables' looks so tranquil, save me a spot on the beach!

Everything is looking so great (case in point: coral gables... that looks like a great place to vacation/live).

I have been working on a scenic railroad myself. It winds up past a lumber mill into the mountains, crossing a stream on the way up:

Comments (and especially suggestions) are welcome.

Gaston

@ threestooges:
Very nice RR.   I love the use of ploppable water.     And of course the "land" bridges are very well done.

@ guurgkud:
Nicely semi-tropical look.   Somewhat like the south of France, or perhaps the Cinqueterra on the coast of Italy.

Here are a few pics of a work in progress:
1.  This lake I am calling Lake Ocoee, after the lake and camp I worked at during college.   The island is slighty similar to one on the real Lake Ocoee.

2.  Here is the overflow for the reservoir.   It is the body of water with the lighter color due to being less deep.

3.  Another view of the lake.   And the small river that connects it to Lake Buice (Still under construction)

4.  Finally where the RHW and main rail line cross the narrows between Lake Ocoee and Parkersville Lake.

Hope ya'll like this.     Like I said it still needs work.

Threestooges looking great. You work well within the confines of SC4 to deliver realistic scenes. I finally rode the Cass rail in WVA last summer and took some shots with the D70. If you would like some reference, please PM, I will gladly send, but really at this point, you have captured the feeling of a scenic rail.

-shoreman: wow. Thanks. That certainly means a lot. I have been a bit of a train nut myself (and it wasn't too long ago my parents were taking me on scenic train trips...Durango & Silverton, "Skunk Train", and the Virginia & Truckee Railroad in Reno, NV) so it's something I've wanted to work on. The opportunity came when I had a slope mod and and a steep hill meet each other. I really don't have much in the way of mods (or photo editing skill) so, for now, working around the game is what works best for me. Thank you again.

The eastern senic is of course much different than the western you experianced, but the rail principles are the same, we had narrow guage to get up those mountains (I would guess these would be hills by western standards) and SC4 has only heavy USRA rail so you have to fudge a bit, but don"t you have to fudge in SC4 anyway. Regardless of limitations, you can ligimitally( why do I try to spell these words at 3:48 EST even if I do REALLY have a word spell) accurately portray a scenic ralil system and you have and will I am sure. Keep creating and if you need reference shots, call on me,   Shoreman, remember folks 400 years ago, America started here in Virginia,

Really well done. I like the color (it gives it a good feeling of age). It has a very delicate feel but it has a grandness to it too.

Looking good, rooker1! I love the antique feeling your picture has.

If girls quoted Winston Churchill and Aristotle in their AIM profiles instead of "Rent," we'd all be so much more erudite. That means "knowledgeable," but you didn't know that because girls quote "Rent" in their AIM profiles.
