Hi, I have Italia Terrain Mod and I like it a lot but when it comes to build a nice city with beach it kinda sucks... anyone knows a good looking terrain mod that fits with big cities and small beach cities?
Also if you could give me a hand uninstalling Italia Terrain Mod from my plugins... I have also the Tree Controller for this Terrain Mod but I like it and dont wanna uninstall it unless needed to replace it for another tee controller that matches a better terrain mod.... THX hope you can help me.

There's lots of terrain mods to choose from.  Lowkee's HD Appalachian mod is good (yellowed, darker grass and lots of rocky areas, like the mountains in eastern North America)

Gobias recently released 2 HD mods:

-Berner Oberland (Bright greens, for highland Europe)
-Sudden Valley (medium green, halfway between the previous two)

The most popular is probably Meadowshire.  It has a lot of texture variety and works in a lot of settings.  I choose not to use it because it's a little too much green for me.  Instead I use the original Columbus mod (you have to search Google for the original, but there are snowcapped versions on the LEX).  It's similar, but not as green and--the best part--the ground textures change seasonally.

There's another that's not available on the LEX or STEX called the Pyrenean Terrain Mod.  It's available on a French SimCity site, so I would assume that's the best setting for it.  It's also in HD.

So it's really a matter of opinion.  Hopefully I explained the choices I think you'd like as a replacement for the Italia well enough.

Also remember that you can change only the beach textures, but keep your terrain mod.  There are a ton of beach mods.

It would be worth noting that the Appalachian Mod is made by Lowkee, not Gobias, in case you were going to try it out

Also, Indiana Joe is right, try replacing your beach textures before you swap out the whole terrain. Sometimes that's all you need to do. You can find beach mods on the LEX, STEX, and even SimPeg.com. They seem to be far more common.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

I knew that.  Thanks for pointing that out; I wasn't thinking.  Fixed now.

For some reason it seems like those three mods go together though.
