The reason I ask is because neither the included readme's or the descriptions on the download pages are clear about their CAMpatibility.

I really appreciate any help you can give me.

As a very general rule of thumb I'd reckon Gascooker's, Jestarr's and Tag_One's lots are campatible, the others are not.

However, and you're not going to like this, the only way to be sure is to run all these lots through the SC4PIM and check if the building descriptor contains a filling degree property. If not, you'll have to add it, opt to recompute the properties and set a new, likely higher growth stage.

It may sound intimidating but the SC4PIM handles most of this process, you'll just have to click 'ok' a few times.

Thank you for the reply Vortext. :)

I have just recently given lot making a go so I am becoming more and more familiar with the SC4PIM so armed with your info I will try that. It will be good practice as I am aiming to make the lots I have from the STEX campatible.

I have one more question and I am sorry for asking if it has been asked somewhere else:

I have been looking at some lots that have been determined as CAMpatible by looking at the readme's and/or the descriptions from the download page and I have found that they have no filling degree when looking at them in the PIMX.

However I do have some of these files in my plugins folder and they have grown in my region. Will I need to demolish the lots in my cities before modding them?

Ideally. If the capacity of a building is set LOWER than what it is in game, occupants above the new amount will seem to be removed. However, they will still exist in the simulation and it is impossible to get rid of them short of demolishing the city (If you save the city, of course). This is exceptionally detrimental when it comes to residents, as the "ghost" citizens will continue to affect the health and education scores of the city (Often negatively) while not offering any tax revenue.

Stewey

Thanks HappyDays :)

I'm going to restart my current region as it could do with a little bit of terraforming (I made my own) tweaking. This is going to be an interesting project.

The filling degree isn't a hard requirement. It serves as an indication the lot has been created in the SC4PIM and thus guaranteed CAMpatible. However if the ReadMe says the lot is CAMpatible, the creator may have re-adjusted statistics in the Reader instead. A fun little experiment would be to run those lots through the SC4PIM anyway and see if it gives roughly the same number of occupants.

In general it's safe practice to demolish all occurrences of a lot before modifying them. So yes, take the bulldozer out for a spin.   :)
