Thank you guys!!!

Well, this is the last model variation of Casa Marchiaro. 3 models done, only one left... (the model on the right). Then I need to work a little on the lots, and let's see the result...

Next to come, the colour variations, as always...  :P

Daniel, what can I say ? Splendid work, as always.
Love that the inner court yard had a differnt wall surface than the street walls has...

Reminds me of Marrakesh.

Looking forward to see your lot work.

romualdillo

Thank you Arne!!! Well, we can't deny that Spain has a strong arabic influence!!! :P The inner yards are part of our culture, especially in Southern Spain.

This is the last post of the year and as OSITM!!! I wish a Happy New Year to all!!  :bnn:
I couldn't prepare something special for today, so here's a normal update. I hope this month was not too boring and monotonous for you!!  ::)

The usual colour variation:

Here's a general view from Testing City!!

Simcoug

love the hilly testing city
Great work!

Catalyst

Beautiful  &apls

The stoplight looks extremely out of place though.
Now we need some 6x6 courtyard parks, or maybe 3x3 modular pieces for more variation.

romualdillo

Simcoug: Thank you!!!

Catalyst: Thank you!! I hate the traffic lights too!! I'll try to take them out as soon as possible!!! I have to work on the lots to fill the backyards, so they don't look so empty.

Last colour variation:

Next to come, Casa Quaroni!!  :bnn:

c.p.

vortext

Definitely not boring, thanks for a great month!  &apls

The test city looks nice. I'm also curious to see progress on the Beti-Jai fronton, the wooden grandstand and courtyard will make for spectacular BAT!  :o
time flies like a bird
fruit flies like a banana

seraf

It's good to see so much progress in here  The test city looks very good and I can't wait to see how your recreation of Beti-Jai will turn out :)

romualdillo

c.p.: Thank you for your comment!!! But we all know how your testing city looks like

vortext & seraf: Thank you!! As I'm concentrating on the houses, I only work little on the Beti-Jai.

Here's a small progress:

I think I'm going to make the third floor, although it was never built.

Finally Casa Quaroni:

Backyard:

I hope you like it!!!

Small update:  ::)

carlfatal

This is a beauty of a facade!  &apls
A real shame to see the original abandoned.  ()sad()

romualdillo

Thank you!!! Yes, it is a shame. I was reading about its history, and it was abandoned in 1919 because it was considered old compared to other frontons in Madrid. It served as a prison during the war, and then as a garage. It's a miracle it's still standing. There are plans to restore it, but this things always go very slowly.

Now, Casa Quaroni first colour variation:

I hope you like it!!!  ;)

Sorry Daniel, but I have lost track of all your different variations.
I do hope you give the roof on the third house a work over later.

The second house, the size of the pattern is better.
Think it would benefit from an enlargement to at least 140 % (√2).
Difference of 100/140 % is where most people can see a difference.

Would love to see some 2 level houses like these. (Think I have said it before, but hey....)

Kergelen

Nice progress. I'm curious to see this new building from Madrid  ::)
