Have Copy; Need Transfer to new laptop.

Does anyone know how to get a copy of SC4 with NAM to a laptop from a desktop when I don't know the Orgin password? I do not care about save data and the copy came free because of the difficulty's of SC5.

Safe, easy and legal way.

Go the origin website, click on login at the top of the page. A new window will appear asking you for your EA Account username and password. Just below the password box is a small text link that reads "Forgot my password." click that and follow the steps to reset your password.

Once that is done, run the origin app, login with your new password and redownload Simcity 4. Since it is already in your library, you will not have to pay for it again. Once it's installed, download NAM 34 http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=851.

You will lose your saved games and any other plugins, but this will get you back up and running. Then it's just the fun part of going through the LEX and getting more custom content and customizing the game how you wish.

There is the hard way, but I would only use this to copy any regions or plugins from the desktop. To do that, copy your ../Documents/Simcity4/Regions and ../Documents/Simcity4/Plugins folders to an external or CD/DVD and place those into the ../Documents folder on your laptop to save some download time.

Simcity 4 and all of my other games are not in said library and I checked my hidden games list.

At this point, I will need an origins user to take over. I use steam, some small differences.

Still, search through the origins settings. There should be a history of your past games for download again. Couple of things to check. Not sure if they apply.

Make sure you don't have multiple accounts on origin, or if you do, you load the one that had the simcity download.

Be sure you are loading origin from the app and not the website.

If you cannot find the setting for previous games, contact their customer support. They will have better access to your account and possibly be able to push a list to the app.
