Good news! Miss Jane Tarzana has invited us out to a pool party at her house. She has a great new pool installed and an awesome swinging vine out back where you can swing over the pool and drop in from above and make a truly impressive splash. Of course, there will be bananas of every variety available as well. Wanna come?

First, we need to get off the Monkey Island Expressway at the Chimpingham Blvd exit.


Perhaps grab a bite to eat... I hear the banana smoothies at Chimp Fil A are good.


Then again, the bananas Foster at Applebee's are very nice as well. Decisions, decisions...


And then to find a nice gift to bring. A proper gentleman or lady monkey never goes to someone's home as a guest without some sort of gift. Today's item: a lovely and versatile leather banana carrying case.

With gift in hand, we set off down Primate Place Drive to find our first turn, a right onto Magilla Drive.


Here it is!


Careful now, it is hard to see the house numbers in the dark.


Even in the dark, Jane's neighborhood, the upscale Barbary Ape Terraces, looks like a great place to live.

Keep your eye out for Jane Goodall Lane. We need to turn on it. Once we do, it's a nice house on the right.


There it is! The new pool is out back. Check it out – it is even lighted. We will have a lot of fun tonight. Come on it – the water is great and the six packs of banana extract are on ice in the coolers!

I havent tuned into this MD for a long time, so I had a lot of catching up to do. The standard is still great, the pictures are still great, and most importantly, the humour has only gotten better

Running Errands

And now, the feature presentation.

So, here we are in suburban paradise – the southside neighborhood of The Estates at Prehensile Place. Here, residents of Monkey Island lead happy lives going to their power jobs in Curious Georgetown and come back to their MonkMansions in the suburbs every evening. Of course, while going to and from work, many errands need to be tended to. Let's see what's shaking in the banana trees about town today.


Chiquita Ripe lives here on Gibbon Lane. She works downtown at the Monkey Island Banana Reserve Bank.


Every morning, she drops off her three kids at school on her way to work. George, George Jr. and Georgina all attend the local school, B. N Anna Elementary.


On Capuchin Court, Tarzan McJane commutes daily to his job at King of the Jungle Jims, a playground equipment manufacturer and wholesaler. He does quite well. And, he has a flashy car with a custom horn. Some would say when he honks, it sounds like a yell...

[pause for the "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" to go through your mind... yeah, you'll have that earworm in your head the rest of the day... hehehe]


He has to stop by to purchase a new banana peeler on his way to work.


Of course, they have a whole aisle of them down at Wally World...


You might run into Queen Kong down at Wally World too. She lives here on Kong Lane. She headed there in search of banana gift wrap for a party she's attending tonight.

Festival! Festival!





We have a few quick errands to run because the Banana Festival is coming to town. And we haven't got a thing to wear! Oh noes! Let's get the party crew together and head over to the festival!


Let's head out of our neighborhood. Gibbonsgate is a fine place to live, but it is not a great place for a Banana Festival soiree.


We'll need to pick up a few of the SC4D partygoers over at Del Monte High School. They are excited about the festival and may even enter a float in the parade.


Of course, we need to stop off and get some bananas!

   
Perhaps have a snack along the way...


'Cuz we're gonna party all night at Jane's, the disco located at the Tarzana Hotel. Their motto: "Me Tarzan, you party."
