Chimpania is one of the most exciting destinations in Monkey Island. It is well worth a return visit. Now that the fall harvest season is upon us, the residents of Monkey Island are gathering and pressing their grape apes to make wine.



To make the renowned




Chimpania's economy has been a bit sluggish as of late. Lower demand for banana peels and decreased tourism due to a summer drought (causing swinging vines to wither away) have made the city eager to find something uplifting and profitable to bring Chimpania back.

So, borrowing from the bacchanalia rites of the small triangular island of Feta Doritos, which was a few miles offshore, the Chamber of Commerce decided to have its own festival: the Bananamalia.

The idea was a huge hit! Soon, 3 out of every 4 vehicles was sporting the logo and monkeys everywhere were chattering about it.



Let's see how everyone is getting ready for it.


Reservations are up 35% at the MGM (Magilla Gorilla Mariott) – a good sign of a popular festival to come.


The IHOP has hired extra staff to cook up more banana-topped pancake stacks with banana glaze.


Retailers and businesses are sprucing up in anticipation of flowing Monkey Bay wine...and bananas flowing into their depleted coffers.


And, the gang from Monkey Island Baywatch are back out on the sand to protect the swimmers and have many adventures whilst running in slow motion to take on all sorts of bad guys who, inexplicably, seem to do business transactions on the pubic beach.

It's almost time for the big festival to begin! It will all start with a ceremony high atop sacred Mount Simian. A procession will leave there and head down to Chimpania, bringing wine and a festive spirit.



At the sacred peak of Mount Simian, the spirit of Bananamalia is now invoked. So, now...

Entertaining as always! Hope the Bananamalia puts everything back on track for these cute little guys. The hotels look great, the beach is lovely and the Bay Watch folks are back, so how could anything go wrong?

Looks like there's a big Bananza in Monkey Island's near future !
